Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Waqar Ahmad Seth bites the dust of Covid-19


 Peshawar High Court (PHC) Chief Justice Waqar Ahmad Seth died on Thursday at 59 years old, days in the wake of getting the Covid and being moved to a private medical clinic in Islamabad. 


Equity Seth had tried positive for Covid-19 on October 22 and was in this way admitted to an emergency clinic in Peshawar, a convention official of the high court, Zubair Hussain, told Dawn.com. 


He was later moved to the Kulsum International Hospital in Islamabad, where he surrendered to the infection, Hussain added. He abandons a spouse and a girl. 


His memorial service petitions will be offered on November 13 at the old Army Stadium ground in Peshawar at 2:30 pm. 


Equity Seth, who made a vow as the PHC's top adjudicator in June 2018, has managed various prominent cases, with one of his significant decisions being the quittance of 74 convicts of military courts, the vast majority of whom were granted capital punishments. 


On December 17, 2019, the PHC boss equity while heading an uncommon court had passed on capital punishment to the previous president resigned Gen Pervez Musharraf in the high injustice case for forcing crisis in the nation on November 3, 2007. 


The judgment was named authentic by legitimate circles as it was the first run through a previous military ruler who was condemned to death for revocation of the Constitution.

Schooling and vocation 


Brought into the world on March 16, 1961, Justice Seth got his initial schooling in Peshawar, before graduating with a Bachelor of Science certificate from Islamia College, Peshawar, in 1981. He finished his LLB from Khyber Law College, Peshawar in 1985 and graduated with a MA in Political Science from the University of Peshawar the next year. 


Equity Seth began his legitimate profession as a supporter of the lower courts in 1985, preceding proceeding onward to the high courts in 1990. He enlisted as a backer of the Supreme Court in 2008. 


In 2011, Justice Seth was raised to the seat as an extra adjudicator. During his vocation, he has filled in as a financial adjudicator and an organization judge of the Peshawar High Court. He was additionally delegated as an individual from the Subordinate Judiciary Service Tribunal, Peshawar, before making a vow as the main equity of the PHC. 


Sympathies pour in 


Sympathy messages began pouring in minutes after information on Justice Seth's death was circulated on the media. 


Head administrator Imran Khan said he was disheartened to learn of the death of the PHC boss equity. "My sympathies and supplications go to his family," he tweeted.
